Play Dates

Some of the most exciting parts of my week consist of watching two dogs chase, trounce, steal toys from, pummel, fake out, body slam and otherwise wear each other out. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good run with a dog at full speed (particularly with a well behaved dog at extra high speed on a bicycle), but getting to sit back while they have the time of their life and get all their energy out on their own - well what can I say, that's fulfilling. Plus, the look of sheer pleasure they get at the first sound of their play buddy coming, just reminds me of how enriched their lives are from it. Here are some pictures of a particularly high-intensity romp between Casca (an official Doody FREE play date dog) the boxer and Rosie the weimaraner out on some hiking trails.
